D&T Electrical Services, a family-run electrical business based in Havering, has reached a significant milestone by securing SafeContractor approval. This accreditation reflects the company’s strengthened health and safety procedures and compliance as it prepares to expand its commercial work.
Run by electrician Dainon Cracknell, D&T Electrical Services already holds several professional accreditations, including NAPIT accreditation, TrustMark approval, and status as an OZEV authorised installer. The addition of SafeContractor approval marks a new chapter in the company’s ongoing development.
Alongside this achievement, D&T is planning to launch an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) service, further extending its role within the property sector. These steps are part of the company’s broader strategy to grow while maintaining its strong connections with the Havering community.
“We’re really proud to have achieved SafeContractor approval,” said Dainon Cracknell. “It’s something we’ve worked hard towards. As the business grows, we want to make sure we continue to have the right systems and standards in place and that we’re building the company on solid foundations.”
D&T Electrical Services has also been recognised locally as a finalist in the 2026 Havering Small Business Awards in the Best Tradesperson category, marking its second consecutive year reaching the finals.
The company’s growth is matched by its commitment to supporting local causes. It has sponsored the Royal Liberty School basketball team’s tour to Valencia, supported Dunton Greyhound Rehoming, donated to Pippa’s Army, and contributed to the Bring & Swap event at Harold Hill Library. Additionally, D&T has supported Smile London & Essex and offers free electrical inspections to vulnerable and single-parent families in the area.
“We live and work here, so it’s important to us that D&T is part of the community and not just a business operating within it,” Dainon added. “We’ve been fortunate enough to grow, and where we can help local schools, charities, community events or families, we want to do that. It’s something we genuinely value.”
Despite its growth and new accreditations, D&T Electrical Services remains a small family-run business focused on maintaining close relationships with customers and the local community as it moves forward.
